Traditionally, Alfajores are two crumbly cookies with a luscious layer of dulce de leche between them.
They can be covered with chocolate, glazed sugar, powder sugar or meringue to create a melt in the mouth treat.

The alfajor is the most common snack for schoolchildren and adults alike. There is no “right” time to eat alfajores… any time is the right time to indulge in one.

There are many versions of alfajores, and each Argentine province has its traditional type, including jam-filled alfajores.

Alfajores are a huge part of Argentine culture dating back to the 19th century.

Scrumptious indulgent treat. Small crumbly cookie base topped with a cone of firm dulce de leche coated in either milk, dark or white chocolate. A must try Argentine treasure.
